Bullet Points: Because I like them and it's easy :)

  • I really like the song "Manifesto" by The City Harmonic. Check it out on iTunes. I tried to add it to my blog playlist, but it is not available on playlist.com.
  • I saw this idea on a wedding blog: I want to copy it, but vamp it up so it looks even cooler (better fabric). The frame would have fabric in the middle. It would lay flat on the table and on top would be a white milk glass vase (or other white vase) with fresh flowers and then around the frame would be three small pedestal plates with candles on top (probably votives in glass cups, but that is still TBD) Might not make these frames, right now it's just an idea. I might prefer to just use the banquet hall's mirrors to place under the white vase w/ flowers.... we'll see. The links of what I'm talking about are below:
  • Framed Centerpieces
  • Click on this one too: It is an ugly style, but will give you an idea of what I'm talking about/how the frames would be used... remember... this is ugly, I would try to make it much cuter!
  • I had two days off due to the blizzard and I got less done in those two days than I would have if I had gone to work! I watched way too much TV, clicked around way too many websites (mostly wedding websites, facebook, email checking, and looking at houses online... if I look at another house online my head will explode! LOL!!! At least I did about a million loads of laundry!!!)
Topics to discuss next time: Preliminary House Hunting & Wedding Hair & Makeup. Stay tuned! :)

Your centerpieces are already MUCH prettier than the ones on these links. I do like the idea of doing painted frames with fabric, but that fabric was so wretched!! Yours would be much better. It would be so easy to spray paint frames. I think it's a cute idea. Keep your eyes peeled for vintage frames at Goodwill :) Or go cheap and use the mirrors!

I have to tell you that I love that you're back :) Just for fun I was scrolling back through your past posts and was cracking up reading through the Jonas Brothers, skinny jeans post/poem. Holy cow. So funny. And to think that now we've become them!! ha :)

Btw, I can't find your blog playlist. Where's it hiding? I'm excited to hear about your wedding hair and makeup ideas!

love you,
Christina

Thanks Christina! I am already having second thoughts about this idea. Maybe less is more? Plus, if the frames are not round, it may be awkward to place three pedestal plates of candles around the square or rectangular frames... I'm undecided about this project. It could be really cool if the fabric were awesome and it would be a unique vintage touch. I'll have to think it over. Also, the mirror would reflect light which would be pretty...

Hmmm, less is definitely more. But it depends. I think it would add to the vintage feel if you found the right fabric in the right frames. But it may add too much to the cost and also so much more to do. The mirrors will be pretty too, especially with the candles and pedestals around them....
so many decisions....
