Anyhow, I just watched a sad story on 20/20 about a family that got stranded in their car in a blizzard. They didn't get rescued for 8 days or so and at that point the husband had left the wife and two daughters to go for help and he ended up dying in the wilderness. SO SAD! The daughters were 4 and 1 or so and it was so sad I cried. I always always feel that I will grow into old age, but life is fragile and there are no guarantees as to how long we will have on this Earth.
Before that I was watching a story (I think on Dateline) about a married couple that was doing invetro that had an embryo implanted and it turned out the clinic made a mistake and put someone else's embryo in by error. WHAT?!?!? So she carried the baby as a surrogate and then had to give it up to the real mother and father and by the time this was over she was too old to have her own baby because she was 40 or 42 or something so then they tried to have a baby with their real embryos using a surrogate mother of their own but she miscarried and then the other embryos never took. If you ask me, that couple was not meant to have another child. They had 3 of their own already, but just always wanted four.
So this is how I spent my evening. Watching way too much TV. I should be doing Chris's tax paperwork/receipts and my save the dates, but I was tired.
On Monday Chris and I are going to see a house we really really like that is pretty close to my parents' house. I'm very excited about it!!!
